Welcome to Mickey Finn's Brewery
Saturday, May 17th...10:00pm
Couple things...the big news being Hefe(our most pop summer brew) comes back on tap this Thursday. So I guess that means the lousy weather is behind us (I'll believe when I see it). Thanks to our bands this past weekend (AF Kin and Grand Parade),both of which brought out great crowds.
This Friday night if you like blues, don't miss Kevin Purcell and the Nightburners, they smoke. Best blues band in the area. Saturday we welcome back Sing with the Band (live band karaoke), think you can sing? Show us.
Very special thanks to everyone who came out to support Tom and Aga's fundraiser Friday night for the Donna Mastandrea Memorial Fund. I believe over $5,0000 was raised to benefit Willow House and Lake County Food Pantry. Over 350 people showed up making one of the biggest turnouts we've had for that kind of event. Thanks to band too, Out of Storage, who were out of songs by the end of the because they played 75 minutes more than they had to. Thanks guys, we'll try to have you back soon.
This Thursday night in the old bar, we've got Logan and Jim, Friday night in the Amber Room it's our hip hop band A.F. Kin.
Saturday night, back by popular demand, is Grand Parade. GP is an amazing early Genesis (Peter Gabriel era)tribute band. So if you dig that music or prog rock in general, don't miss the show. Plus it starts early. Doors open at 7:00'sh, show starts 8:00'sh.

What a great weekend! Any time you can sit in the beer garden and drink a pint is a good thing. Plus the Cubbies are winning...maybe it's our century finally.
Thanks to all the great bands this past weekend, Sans Dos, Soulfix, and Alternate Past.
This week we've got Johhny Monaco in the old bar Thursday, Goheen (formerly Joe Rockhead), on Friday, and Out of Storage on Saturday. Although the beer garden doesn't officially open until Mother's Day weekend, we will do our best before that if the weather cooperates.
Birthday wishes to my brother Tim, and my girlfriend Jetta!
Thanks to Plus Teasin' for a great show, a great turnout and putting up with a late set-up and crowded room. We'll do a better job next time boys. Also, thanks for a fine job by Private Drive, Friday night.
Fab weekend of music coming up. Some of my best buds Todd, Wheezer, and Nuge from Betty Soul are doing a free acoustic show in the old bar Thursday night as Sans Dos. Don't worry Soul fans, I'm sure Marth and Bill will show up at some point. Get there early seats are limited.
Friday and Saturday we have two bands that have been with us since the beginning of the Amber Room, Soulfix and Alternate Past. Great guys and great bands...can't go wrong either night.
Would also like to thank my good buddy Don for a hosting a phenominal weekend of golf in Scottsdale. The Valley Ho was the best.
Cheers,
Brian G.
Soulfix...Friday April 18th
Great weekend. Congrats to Katie and David on their wedding, it appeared that they had a good time.
Nice job by Eagles Tribute Heartache Tonight, despite the half hour break they took. Thanks to all who came out to see the Usuals on Saturday, another great crowd! Congrats to Heather on her bachelorette party and her upcoming wedding. You girls drank like animals. Thanks to Brent and Gina for the great meal @ Mambo Italiano (awesome Italian food in Mundelein)
Don Anderson (a bud drinkin' and our former open mic host) returns with his new band to play your favorite classic rock tunes. Old bar, no cover. This Friday local rockers Private Drive are back. Always a fun time Doors should open around 8:30pm. Saturday we're thrilled to have back Plus Teasin', local rockers, who don't actually play out too much, that must be the teasin' part. They bring a great crowd and their set list is a guaranteed good time. I'm sorry I'm going to miss it. PS I love their website...f'n hilarious
Cheers....Brian G. (fukodome to you too)
